My best wishes to all of Ernie's family. My dad Ed, brothers (Butch and Chris), and myself will keep you and Ernie in our prayers. Ernie is, a good friend and brought joy into all of our lives. Our world has been a better place because of Ernie. We will keep him in our mind and hearts forever. We know Ernie through Chris Barber. We always spoke with a happy and uplifting Ernie and looked forward to see him each time we visited to go go fishing.

Never would I of thought that leaving a condolence be so hard for someone.
Mary Ann, you and Ernie were always the best ever. I will always be so grateful to of been included in your family. Papa was the nicest man ever and full of fun spunk. I used to just enjoy sitting there talking to him when he would come home from work. He loved all your kids and extra kids so much. Shelbi always loved her Mimi and Papa. Its amazing how much of a heart one person can have sometimes. He was your best friend. I loved all the old stories of were you guys came from to look at you now and what you two have did together. Wow, true love at its best.
Deanna and Nina, you guys were so very lucky to have him as your daddy. He raised you two to know what its like to be dirty and work hard, but yet how to be simple, elegant and humble. My heart just cant express how bad I feel for you two. I know how much you loved your dad.
Zac , Justin, Mike and Krystal, Gavin and Wil ..... I know this isn't easy for your all as well. Your papa was the coolest thing ever. I know that he past down many of great traits to you all. I know you think the world about him and will miss him terribly. Our hearts hurt with you. He was very proud always of you all. What a great and wonderful grandpa for you guys to ever have!!!
Shelbi and I feel very disrespectful that we could not attend the service with you all. The news was very heart breaking for us . Please know though that we are there in our thoughts. We both loved Papa with all our heart! He will forever be a part of us.
Love and hugs to all of of you!
Love Angie and Shelbi

Earnie is one the greatest friends I can say I had. To all his family I feel your pain, I will miss seeing him when I go to get the mail. All the doggies in the neighbor hood will miss their treats. Rocky Mount will never be the same, but Earnie we will carry on for you. Fly high my friend. Your our Angel.
