Hargis Dale Dinwiddie, 81, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri.  He was born April 14, 1936 in Kaiser, Missouri, the son of the late John William and Minnie Bell (McDaniel) Dinwiddie.  On July 31, 1954 in Eldon, Missouri he was united in marriage to Ilene (Barbee) Dinwiddie who preceded him in death on August 17, 2010.

Survivors include:

Sons, Lowin Dinwiddie (Sheila) of Eldon, MO; Dale Dinwiddie & Judy Moser of Boonville, MO; Anthony Dinwiddie (Tami) of Eldon, MO

Daughters, Renee’ Hall of Latham, MO; Alletta Dinwiddie & Dale Cranmer of Eldon, MO

Seventeen Grandchildren, Thirty Great Grandchildren & Three Great Great Grandchildren

Loving Companion, Lilly Popp of Eldon, MO

Brother, Ronald Lee Dinwiddie (Esther) of Eldon, MO

One great grandson, Layne Hargis Dinwiddie, three brothers, Earl, Loyd & Lowin Dinwiddie, and a sister, Aleeta Dinwiddie preceded him in death.

He was owner/operator of Hargis Dinwiddie Masonry Construction.  He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Eldon, MO. Hargis was an avid fox hunter & coyote hunter, and he loved to fish.  He enjoyed working his farm and his garden.

Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM also at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Nelson & Rev. David White officiating.  Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Kaiser, MO.

Memorials in his name are suggested to New Hope Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
