Wilma (Moats) Apperson, 88, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at Tipton Oak Manor in Tipton, Missouri. She was born May 23, 1933 in Sparks, Oklahoma the daughter of the late Coy Harmon and Jewell (Stevinson) Miler. On December 4, 1976 in Eldon, Missouri she was united in marriage to Larry Apperson who survives of the home.

Her first husband, Everett Lee Moats, a son, Everett Levoy Moats, three sisters, Wanda Blankenship, Dorothy Harmon, and Betty Keith, a brother, Leroy Harmon, and son in law, Curt Morris preceded her in death.
Wilma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO. where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was employed as a waitress for many years at Bernie’s Café. Throughout her lifetime, she was dedicated to helping the community and was very active in the Eldon Merchant’s. As a member of the Eldon Chamber of Commerce, she was chosen as Citizen of the Year. She loved building and displaying floats for the annual Christmas parade. She enjoyed farming and was a master gardener especially when it came to flowers. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her family.
Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM with Chris Reynolds, Minister officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.
Memorials in her name are suggested to benefit the students of the Eldon School District.
