William J. (Bill) Brockman, 52, Jefferson City, passed away July 30, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. Bill served his country in the Navy from 1979 to 1989 and served in the National Guard from 1989 to 2002. Bill was born in Jefferson City, on May 25, 1961 the son of John and Fran Snook Brockman. On May 11, 1984, he married Kimberlee Bradley who survives of the home. Bill attended Jefferson City High School and graduated in 1979. After being stationed in Virginia in the Navy, Bill and his family returned to Jefferson City in 1989. He worked at Johnson Controls in Jefferson City for 20 years and at Quaker Window in Freeburg for the past five years. He was an avid golfer spending most weekends on the course. He also enjoyed fishing, cards and motorcycles. He was a member of the American Legion. In addition to his wife, Kim, he is survived by a daughter Heather Bradley and her husband Mano Venkatasen, Seattle, WA, and a son Lucas, Seattle, WA. Also surviving are his mother Fran Ross and her husband Junior Ross, Independence, his father John Brockman, Russellville, sister Karen Couch and husband Don, Virginia Beach, VA, brothers Frank Brockman and wife Brenda of Virginia Beach and Joe Brockman and wife Lori of Russellville and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, at the American Legion Post 5 on Tanner Bridge Road from 3 to 5 pm. Military honors will be held at 4 p.m. during the memorial service. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Goldschmidt Cancer Center
