Virginia Lois (Hosey) Wyrick

Virginia L. Wyrick, 89 of Kearney, MO died in her home surrounded by her loved ones on May 1, 2020. 

Virginia Lois (Hosey) Wyrick was born in Eldon, on January 7, 1931 to Elsie Mae (Peterson) Hosey and Samuel Earl Hosey. She was married to James Wyrick on August 17, 1947 until he passed on October 6, 1993.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elsie and Earl Hosey; siblings Geneva Hartley, Clarence Hosey, Louise Allee, Earl (Tommy) Hosey; grandchildren Ron Jones and Amy Jones,  and great-granddaughter Cheyenne Muiller.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Teena and Glenn McCall of Lawson; daughter and son-in-law Pat and Kevin Stevinson of Rayville; son and daughter-in-law Bill and Nicole Wyrick of Wichita, KS; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Virginia lived many years in Liberty, Lawson, Eldon and finally in Kearney, MO. Virginia worked as a floor supervisor and later a plant manager at Nat Nast Bowling Shirt Factory. Later she owned several hair salons in Liberty and one in Lawson.  She loved her family and BINGO.

There will be a private burial service on Friday, May 8th at the Eldon Cemetery in Eldon, MO.

 In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Liberty Hospital Hospice in her honor.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
