Vernon Leon Asher, Sr.

Vernon Leon Asher, Sr., 74, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 at his residence in Eldon, Missouri.  He was born May 22, 1950 in Pekin, Illinois the son of the late Henry Frank Asher and Norma (Clements) Chase.  On October 25, 1969 in Bernie, Missouri he was united in marriage to Deborah (Gaskins) Asher who survives of the home.

Son, Vernon Asher, Jr. (Pam) of Eldon, MO

Daughter, Kim Davis (Dan) of Eldon, MO

Seven Grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Justin, Lacey, Nickie, Randy and Ritchie

Sixteen Great-Granchildren and Two Great-Great- Grandchildren

Brothers, Louie Asher of Jonesboro, AR; Allen Asher (Norma) of St. Clair, MO

Sisters, Gail Garner (Don) of TX; Gay Garner of KY

Vernon graduated from Bunker High School.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  His greatest love was spending time with his family and loving wife of fifty-five years.

Per his wishes, his body has been cremated and Private Family Interment will be held at the Asher Cemetery in Oates, MO at a later date.

Memorials in his name are suggested to the Down Syndrome Awareness.
