Susan Rollins-Campbell, age 79, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at SSM St. Mary's in Jefferson City, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on October 12, 1944, at King County Hospital in Seattle, Washington, Susan was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Helen Rollins.
Susan is survived by her loving children, Michele (Mike) Herbert of Eldon, and Cris (Mary) Campbell of Jefferson City. She will be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren, Halle Herbert, Anna Herbert, Ty Campbell, Greyson Campbell, and Jaxson Campbell. She is also survived by her sister, Shelley Henderson of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and her brother-in-law, Rick McCollough of Bainbridge Island, Washington.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen Rollins, her sister, Sandra McCollough, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harold and Bonnie Campbell, and her nephew, Ty McCollough.
Susan had a passion for enjoying life in everything she did. She found joy in watching her grandchildren grow and her love for them knew no bounds. She adored spending time with her family and friends, especially during big celebrations, where her infectious laughter and presence lit up the room.
Susan delighted in the simple pleasures of life, including shopping for the perfect gifts for her loved ones to express her love and appreciation.
Bainbridge Island, Washington, held a special place in Susan's heart. She often entertained her loved ones with stories of her childhood adventures and fond memories of days spent swimming with otters.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Bainbridge Island. Susan will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorial donations in Susan's honor may be made to the SSM Foundation.
