Steve A. Michels

Steve A. Michels, 67, of Russellville, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at his residence in Russellville, Missouri.  He was born November 10, 1952 in Aurora, Colorado the son of the late Eugene Frank and Barbara Jean (Knott) Michels.  On December 17, 1983 he was united in marriage to Suzanne (Sabag) Michels who preceded him in death on March 1, 2019.

Brother, Tony Michels (Carol) of Belton, TX

Nephews & Niece, Matt Michels, Jena Michels & Alex Goldie

A sister, JoAnn Michels and a niece, Laura Sauer preceded him in death.

Steve graduated from Western State University in Gunnison, CO.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic of Eldon, MO where he served as an usher frequently.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7133 where he was very active assisting with the many fish fry’s during the Lenten season.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the St. Louis Cardinal’s and the Green Bay Packers, but his greatest love was spending time playing and entertaining his grandsons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
