Stella Elizabeth (Ekstam) Pierce Jester

Stella Elizabeth Pierce Jester, 102, went home to her Lord June 8, 2021.  Stella was born June 28, 1918 to Frank and Olie Roberts Ekstam of Eugene, Mo.  She graduated from Eugene High School in 1935.  She was married to Sam Pierce, in 1944, and later to Willard Jester, in 1992.  Stella was a faithful believer and member of the Oak Street Church of Christ in Eldon, Mo.

Stella is survived by step-daughters Darlene Jester Adcock and Donna Jester Kliethermes, nieces Katherine Binkley, Sharon Buster, Frances Engelbrecht, Barbara Farris, Carolyn Patterson, Elizabeth Ray and Lou Wilkes and nephew Lloyd Engelbrecht.  Stella also had many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Sam Pierce, son Dennis Pierce, husband Willard Jester, step- daughter Joan Jester Jett; sisters Ada Engelbrecht, Pearl Engelbrecht and Mildred Engelbrecht; and brothers Ernest Ekstam, David Ekstam, Lester Ekstam and Harold Ekstam.

Visitation will be at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon from 5-7 pm Thursday, June 10 and funeral services will be at 1 pm Friday at the Oak Street Church of Christ, in Eldon, with ministers Lloyd Parr and Travis Hardesty   conducting services.  Burial will be at Eugene Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Fairhaven Children’s Home, the Oak Street Church of Christ in Eldon  or to the Eugene Cemetery.
