Shelby Jo (Belt) Prevost

Shelby Jo (Belt) Prevost, 46 of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at her residence.  She was born May 26, 1978 in Jefferson City, Missouri the daughter of Richard Wayne Belt and Deborah Gail (Watts) Boschert.

Mother, Deborah Boschert (Jim) of Jefferson City, MO

Father, Richard Wayne Belt (Sue) of Jefferson City, MO

Son, Jesse Prevost of St. Louis, MO

Daughter, Miya Grover of Jefferson City, MO

Brother, Shawn Belt (Peggy) of Tebbetts, MO

Sister, Kelsey Whitlinger (James) of Kearney, MO

Niece, Rheanna Belt of Tebbetts, MO

Special Friend, James Earl Pittman of St. Louis, MO

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Curtis & Ruby Watts, and Lloyd, Sr. & Dorothy Belt.

Shelby was a graduate of Cole R-5 High School in 1996. She was employed as a caregiver in the Jefferson City and the St. Louis area for many years.

Shelby loved to collect angels and was fascinated by the way they looked.  During her childhood, she loved to swim, fish, and camp.  She enjoyed listening to all types of music, especially the Country group Alabama.  Shelby was of the Christian faith and attended the Eugene Christian Church before relocating to the St. Louis area. 

Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Celebration of Life beginning.  Burial will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery.

Memorials in her name are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
