Sharon Rains Obituary

Sharon Kay (Maasen) Rains, 64, of Henley, Missouri passed away Saturday August 14, 2021 at Jefferson City Manor in Jefferson City, Missouri.  She was born July 5, 1957 in Jefferson City, Missouri the daughter of Leo and Angeline (Kempker) Maasen.  On September 2, 1978 at St Joseph’s Cathedral in Jefferson City, Missouri she was united in marriage to Joe Bradley Rains who survives of the home.

 

Other survivors include,

 

Children, Amanda Buschmann (Erik) of Jefferson City, MO; Justin Rains (Laci Jo) of Eugene, MO

 

Grandchildren, Jacquelyn Buschmann, Charlie Buschmann, Lexi Jo Rains and Levi Rains

 

Siblings, Bev Frank (Kenny); Leon Maasen (Angie); Paul Maasen (Diane);  Phillips Maasen; Le Ann Meyer (Dave) and Rosina Loethen (Jim)

 

Brother in law, Kenneth Rains, Sr.

 

Her father in law, W.C. Rains, mother in law, Ruth (Andres) Rains, sister & brother in law, Catherine & Leon Brummer, and sister in law, Alberta Rains preceded her in death.

 

Sharon was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.  After retirement she would spend the winter months in Florida with Brad, spending time at the beach. 

 

Visitation will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church of Mary’s Home, MO.  Graveside Service will be Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Eldon, MO with Rev. Alexuis Ekka officiating. 

 

Memorials in her name are suggested to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

 

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
