Sara M. Downard

Sara M. Downard, 43, of Des Peres, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri after a lengthy battle with cancer.  She was born October 7, 1976 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Michael and Judith (Hammett) Downard.

Sara was a 1995 graduate of School of the Osage; she received her BSBA in Marketing at the University of Missouri in Columbia, and her MBA at UMSL in St. Louis.  Sara was employed as an International and National Account Marketing Manager with Luxco, Inc. Sara lived life to the fullest with a smile on her face.  She loved life, spending time with her family and friends, boating and traveling.  She was an avid bicyclist and rode with her many friends in St. Louis and out of state.  She participated in the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) for many years.  Sara worked and volunteered both for the American Cancer Society.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life is being planned at a later date.
