Sandy Jolene (Irwin) Washburn, 66, of Rogers, AR passed away peacefully after a 2-year battle with ovarian cancer on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was born March 1, 1959 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Theodore “Ted” and Ruby (Brown) Irwin. She grew up in Eldon and Lake Ozark, MO. She attended School of the Osage High School (Class of ’77). Sandy then attended Southwest Missouri State University (Class of ’82) and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Special Education and Learning Disabilities. On August 8, 1980 in Lake Ozark, MO she was united in marriage to David Washburn who survives of the home. Sandy attended the Living Word Lutheran Church and taught school for thirty-three years in Rogers, AR.

Two Sisters, Sharron Wolf and husband Rick of Lee’s Summit, MO; Susan Bloomquist of Cape Coral, FL
Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Richard Solberg officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery. There will be an additional Memorial Service in Rogers, AR at a later date.
