Ruth Scrivner Obituary

Ruth E. (Kidwell) Scrivner, 80, of Barnett, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.  She was born February 20, 1940 in Barnett, Missouri the daughter of the late Ralph Dean and Maggie (Stayton) Kidwell.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Darrell Lynn Scrivner, and Billy Scrivner,  great grandson, Paul Jackson of Overland Park, KS, sisters, Pauline Dutcher of Eldon, MO and Donna Wakefield of  Olathe, KS.

 

She is survived by a son, Steven Scrivner (Natalie) of Barnett, MO, three brothers, Basil (June) Kidwell of Springfield, MO, Garland Kidwell of Barnett, MO and Wayne (Elizabeth) Kidwell of Turlock, CA, Grandchildren, Nate (Tina) Scrivner of Eldon, MO, Chad Scrivner of Eldon, MO, Steve (Katie) Scrivner of Eldon, MO and Shawna (Jared) Jackson of Overland Park, KS, great grandchildren, Dakota Scrivner of Eldon, MO, Shelby Scrivner of Eldon, MO, Stevie Scrivner of Eldon, MO and Lily Scrivner of Rocky Mount, MO, Charlie Jackson of Overland Park, KS, Maddie Scrivner and Raelyn Scrivner

 

Besides family, Ruth’s interests were traveling, fishing and driving tractors.  She got to fulfill her lifelong dream of going to all fifty states and the Panama Canal.  The highlights were getting on the nuclear submarine “the Nautilus”, and an aircraft carrier and many other places of interest.  She was employed as a bus driver for the Eldon School systems, as an engineer for the Burlington Northern Railroad, and Paul’s Supermarket of Eldon, MO.

 

Visitation will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 4:00 PM with Pastor Danny Wakefield officiating.  Burial will follow at Big Rock Cemetery near Barnett, MO.

 

Memorials in her name are suggested In Care of the Family.
