Ruby Maxine (Nickolson) Weed

Ruby Maxine Weed, 91 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.  She was born October 6, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of the late Russell Nickolson and Agnes (Thompson) Austel.  On June 4, 1999 in Kansas City, Missouri she was united in marriage to Robert A. Weed who survives.

Sons, Wayne Spalding (Patricia) of Lees Summit, MO; Danny Spalding (Debbie) of Climax Springs, MO; Karen Friesen (Doug) of Lake Winnebago, MO; Roland Borders of Kansas City, MO

Six Grandchildren, Dannelle Chugg, Darrin Spalding, Kimberly Arnsmeyer, Crystal Sampson, Daniel Friesen and Michael Friesen

Step Children, Mary Kladiva (Al) of St. Martins, MO; Michael Weed (Loretta) of Jefferson City, MO; Martin Weed of Piedmont, MO

Twelve Step Grandchildren; Fifteen Great Grandchildren; several Great Great Grandchildren & Step Great Great Grandchildren

Preceded in death by her first husband, Silas Warren Spalding, a grandson, Anthony Spalding, a son, Zack Borders, and three step children, David Weed, Tim Weed and Martha Fisher.

Ruby was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Lake Ozark, MO.

Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2023 from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Charlie Kempf officiating.   Burial will follow at Eugene Cemetery

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
