Ruby D. Morgan, 78, of Barnett, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born December 9, 1947 in Eldon, Missouri, the daughter of the late Henry Raymond and Helen (Dorl) Hicks. On July 27, 1968 in Eldon, Missouri she was united in marriage to Marshall Morgan who survives of the home.

Reunited in heaven with her parents, a great-grandson, Aiden, four brothers, James Hicks, Kenneth Hicks, Gerald Hicks and Darrell Hicks, and brothers in law, Harold Duncan, John Duncan and Richard Eidson preceded her in death.
Ruby was a 1965 graduate of Eldon High School and a faithful member of Aurora Springs Baptist Church. She dedicated more than twenty years of service to Anchor Milling Company in Eldon before spending another twenty-plus years as Director of Food Services for the Eldon School District.
Ruby found true fulfillment in life’s simple pleasures: nurturing her garden, tending to the local birds, and finding daily grounding in her scripture. A generous soul, she also loved bringing people together by sharing her passion for cooking and teaching others her favorite recipes. She had a servant’s heart, always eager to help others and support her community. Above all, Ruby cherished her family. She rarely missed an opportunity to attend their activities and celebrations, and she had a special gift for turning ordinary moments together into treasured memories that will be remembered for years to come.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.
