Roy David Porter, Sr.

Roy David Porter, Sr. 69, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach, Missouri.  He was born May 4, 1953 in Tuscumbia, Missouri the son of the late Dan and Ethel (King) Porter.  On June 29, 1974 in California, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sheila Jean (Tipton) Porter who survives of the home.

Grandchildren, Matt Porter, Darrin Porter, Kiera Farley, Carter Farley & Layton Porter

Two Brothers, Donald Porter (Ginger) of Eldon, MO; Bill Porter (Karen) of Eldon, MO

Two Sisters, Lena Porter of Eldon, MO; Mary Whitten of Eldon, MO

Along with his parents, two brothers, Charley Porter & Danny Porter, Sr., and a sister, Ida Polly preceded him in death.

Roy was a member of Aurora Springs Baptist Church of Eldon, MO.  He was employed with Bob Hill Tire Service for over forty years where he was well known in the community for his kind personality and he never knew a stranger.  He enjoyed cutting firewood, hunt and fish, but mostly he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Simpson officiating.   Burial will follow at Dooley Cemetery near Eldon, MO.
