Graveside service and burial, with military Air Force honors, to follow at 4:30 pm in Eldon, Missouri, at the Eldon Cemetery under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Missouri.

Roy was born at home on September 29, 1935, in Miller County, Missouri to Curtis and Opal (Brewer) Bunch.  In 1953, he graduated from Eldon High School, then moved to the Kansas City area where he began working for Sears and Roebuck. He married Audrey, on July 13, 1957.  A year later he joined the Air Force Reserves and was called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis.  He was honorably discharged in 1964, returning to work for Sears and Roebuck, retiring with 35 years of service. After retirement, he purchased McCracken’s Home Furnishings where he worked until 2004.

His passion for cars made him an avid collector of antique license plates and all other car memorabilia.  His passion for Christ started at the age of 12 when he gave his heart to the Lord.  He followed up by being baptized in the farm pond on a chilly October day. Roy continued to serve the Lord by teaching Sunday School and adult Bible studies for 60 years. He also served in the church as a Deacon for 60 years. The Gideons International was also a ministry where he served for 50 years holding all Camp elected offices and several State offices.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Anna Belle Franklin and brother Floyd Bunch.

He is survived by his wife Audrey (Bond), his daughters Jody (Kevin) Ferguson and Cindy (Dan) Cotterman; 5 grandchildren: Daniel Cotterman, Dean (Katie) Ferguson, Megan Cotterman, Mallory (Brandon) Foley, Chad (Ally) Ferguson and 9 great grandchildren: Brodie, Ollie, Jovie Foley, and Jase, Selah, Elyse, Jude, Nora, Evelynn Ferguson.
