Rosa E. (Wood) Apperson

Rosa E. Apperson, 87 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in California, Missouri.  She was born February 20, 1936 in Barnett, Missouri the “Holler”, the daughter of the late Dorsey Henry and Lois (Runyan) Wood.  On February 8, 1957 in Pekin, Illinois she was united in marriage to Carl R. Apperson who preceded her in death on August 23, 1974.

Survivors include,

Sons, Jay Apperson of California, MO; David Apperson of California

Nine Grandchildren, Colin, Jordan, John, Ryan, Derek, Erin, Jesse, Carl & Alex

Thirteen Great-Grandchildren & Two Great-Great Grandchildren

Brothers, Eugene “Boss” Wood of IN; Steve L. Wood (Sharon) of Mt. Pleasant, MO

Along with her husband and parents, two sisters, Marcella Pletzer & Ruth Baccus, and three brothers, Jewell “Buck” Wood, Joe Wood and Duane Wood preceded her in death.

Rosa was a member of Ninth Street Christian Church of Eldon, MO.  She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Graveside Service will be Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO with Chris Reynolds, Minister officiating.

Memorials in her name are suggested to Greenmore Memorial Gardens or Ninth Street Christian Church.
