Roger Dale Enloe, 87 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born October 5, 1936 in Enon, Missouri. He was the son of the late Denver James and Dona Belle (Hall) Enloe. On October 13, 1962 in Barnett, Missouri he was united in marriage to Carol “Sue” Taylor. He and Sue shared 57 plus years together.

One brother; Lester Enloe (Maudie) and three sisters; Alma Jean Wheeler (Murray), Etheleen Armstong (Ben), and Dorothy Messerli (Vernon) as well as three brothers-in-law; Tom Taylor (June), Herb Taylor (Lois), Myron Taylor, and Jim Jones, and four sisters-in-law; Erma Rains (Donald), Evelyn Bellamy, Elizabeth Edwards (Glen), and Darlene Stover preceded him in death.
Roger was a 1954 graduate of Russellville High School. He was active in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization as well as basketball. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served from 1959 to 1961. He was employed by the State of Missouri in various divisions within the Department of Labor. He retired in 1996 after 40 years of service. Roger was a life-long cattle farmer and he spent his retirement years doing what he loved, working on the farm. He was also an avid cook and gardener. However, his greatest love was his family, and attending all of his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed. Roger was a longtime member of Greenridge Baptist Church of Eldon, MO.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March, 19th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March, 20th at 10:30am at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor James Schupp officiating. Burial will follow at Enloe Cemetery in Russellville, MO with Full Military Honors.
