Robert Otto Koerner

Robert Otto Koerner, 92, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, Missouri.  He was born December 27, 1926 in Barnett, Missouri, the son of the late Otto Thomas and Elma (Sharples) Koerner.  On September 9, 1950 in Troy, Missouri he was united in marriage to Irene Isabell (Shilharvey) Koerner who survives of the home.

Children, Beverly Barry (Wayne) of Barnett, MO; William Koerner (Melissa) of Gravois Mills, MO; Donna Ryan (Larry) of Eldon, MO; Sandra Miller (Jim) of Eldon, MO

Ten Grandchildren, Chad, Shawn & Scott Barry; Stephaine Chapman; Kari Oster & Marianne Holtz; Erik & Michael Miller; Billy Koerner & Nicole Miracle

Eleven Great Grandchildren

Two brothers, William & Cletus Koerner, and two sisters, Nadine Magruder & Marie Thompson preceded him in death.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II.  He enjoyed working his dairy farm located in Barnett, MO and was employed with Walmart in Bentonville, AR in the claims department for fourteen years until his retirement.  Robert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon, MO.

Visitation will be­­­­­­ from 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon, MO with Father Alex Gabriel officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO with Full Military Honors presented. 

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in his name are requested for Catholic Masses to be prayed or to the Donor’s Choice.
