Robert Gray Obituary

Robert Douglas “Doug” Gray, 77, of Eugene, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.  He was born February 27, 1942 in Eugene, Missouri the son of the late James Edward and Rayma Jane (Spalding) Gray.  On June 23, 1962 in Eugene, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sharon (Buster) Gray who survives of the home.

Other survivors include,

Children, Christie Albert (Doug) of Eugene, MO; Sally Wright (Jodie) Eugene, MO

Sister, Glenda Hardin of Columbia, MO

Grandchildren, Nicole Cooper, Elizabeth Birdsong & Amanda Wright

Six Great Grandchildren

A brother, James Jack Gray preceded him in death.

Doug was employed with United Phone Company for thirty-five years before retiring.  He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Russellville, MO and loved farming and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be Monday, February 3, 2020 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Russellville, MO with Rev. Alan Earls officiating.  Burial will follow at Spring Garden Cemetery.

Memorials in his name are suggested to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Building Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
