Rick Alan Callahan

Rick Alan Callahan, 67, of Eldon, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in Eldon, Missouri surrounded by his loving family.  He was born July 22, 1957 in West Plains, Missouri, the son of Dave and Ruth (Walker) Woolley. On July 21, 1984 in Olean, Missouri he was united in marriage to Marsha (Humbard) Callahan who survives of the home.

Siblings, Lisa Bailey (Durand) of Olean, MO; Terry Callahan (Natalie) of Eldon, MO; Mike Callahan of Eldon, MO

Aunt, Judy Thornsberry of Eldon, MO

Numerous Cousin, Nephews and Nieces

Along with his mother, Ruth Woolley, his grandparents, Glen & Bernice Walker, uncles Carl Dean, & J. Paul Thornsberry, and aunt, Betty Walker preceded him in death. 

Rick was employed with the City of Eldon as Assistant Fire Chief and was the Miller County Coroner for sixteen years and was a paramedic for the Miller County Ambulance District and Mid-MO.  He later joined the staff at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO and worked as a funeral director for the last 6-7 years until his retirement.  Rick loved cars especially Nascar and model airplanes.  He greatly enjoyed the brotherhood he carried with him with the fire department.  He loved to cook and smoke meat, but his greatest love was his family and making memories with his grandchildren. 

Visitation will be Monday, March 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM also at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Bob Hoskins officiating.  Burial will follow at the Olean Cemetery with Fire Department Honors presented.
