Richard Straight Obituary
Richard Dean Straight, 64, of Jefferson City, MO passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Capital Region Medical Center.
Richard was born January, 7, 1951, son of Lloyd and Joyce (Mickey) Straight in Logan, Iowa. He was married to Mary L. Thornton who preceded him in death November 20, 1999.
Richard attended college to learn the electrical trade. He worked for many electrical contractors and at last was employed with the Jefferson City Public Schools as an electrician.
His main love was for his family, spending time with his children, family and friends. He enjoyed collecting coins, playing cards, and was a talented guitar and piano player. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents of Huntington beach, California, two daughters, Krista L. Moreno and husband Jose of Santee, CA, Marissa L. Roll and husband Derrik of Columbia, MO, one brother Randy Straight of Newport Beach, CA and four grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 12, at 2:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City with Fr. Tony Rinaldo officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the service time also at the Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
