Richard Carl Roark, Jr., 71, of Supply, North Carolina and formerly of Eldon, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Novant Health Brunswick Hospital in Supply, North Carolina. He was born December 11, 1950 in Lexington, Kentucky the son of the late Richard Carl Roark, Sr. and Thelma (McCullah) Roark.

Survivors include,

Daughter, Jennifer Metzger (James) of Supply, NC

Sisters, Kathy Hicks (Jack) of Iberia, MO; Sandy Plemmons of Eldon, MO

Seven Grandchildren, Crystal, Amberlea, Robert, Cue, Savanna, Avery & Chad

Four Great Granddaughters

Two brothers, Randy Roark and Bill Roark preceded him in death.

Richard was employed as a police officer for the City of Eldon and with the Miller County Sheriff’s Dept. He was instrumental in the installation of the 911 system within the state of Missouri as the 911 Director.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Celebration of Life beginning at 5:30 PM with Travis Hardesty, Minister officiating. Dinner following at Oak Street Church of Christ of Eldon, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
