Ray Smith Obituary

Ray Dean Smith, 64, of Tuscumbia, Missouri passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.  He was born April 3, 1961 in Tuscumbia, Missouri the son of Paul and Rosanna (Horton) Smith.  On November 30, 1980 in Tuscumbia, Missouri he was united in marriage to Linda (Harris) Smith who survives of the home.

Other survivors include,

Sons, Steven Smith of the home, Jon Smith (Carolyn) of Tuscumbia, MO, Tim Smith of Tuscumbia, MO

Grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Alyssa Smith and William Smith all of Tuscumbia, MO

Brother, Jay Smith (Ellen) of Springfield, MO

Uncles, Wesley Horton (Connie) of Tuscumbia, MO, Arthur Hager of Eugene, MO

Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and his beloved dog.

Along with his parents, aunts, Louise Hager and Ellen Horton, uncle, Frank Horton, and cousin, Eddie Hager preceded him in death.

Ray was employed with FASCO Industries in Eldon, MO for over twenty years.  He was a member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church.  He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and any outdoor activities including turkey calling competitions.  His greatest love in life was his wife, children, grandchildren and his family. 

Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Visser officiating.  Burial will be held at Gott Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials in his name are suggested to Gott Cemetery.
