Pauline E. (Leuthen) Whitten

Pauline E. Whitten, 94, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at her residence near Eldon, Missouri.  She was born November 28, 1930 in Henley, Missouri the daughter of the late Clement George and Catherine (Cope) Leuthen.

Survivors include,

Children, Catherine Wiseman of Eldon, MO; David Paul Whitten (Patty) of Eldon, MO; Bill Whitten of O’Fallon, MO; Lisa George (Kevin) of Lebanon, MO

Fourteen Grandchildren, Christina Wiseman, Clem Wiseman, Angela Fritch, Paul Ambrose, Andy Hunt, Alex Whitten, Shawna Christian, Jamie Whitten, Abraham Whitten, Katie Ireland, Amanda Sparks, Austin George, Debbie Sidebottom, Brian James

Twenty-five Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great-Grandchild

Along with her parents, a daughter, Therese Ambrose-Hunt, and a great-grandson, David VanDyke, Jr. preceded her in death.

Pauline was a devout Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon, MO.  She was a kind, thoughtful and loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend.  Pauline was always ready for unexpected company.  She would whip up something to eat regardless of how many showed up.  It brought her great joy to be able to feed family and friends and to play pinochle.  Pauline was employed as a seamstress at H.D. Lee and for Missouri Ozarks until her retirement.  Later in life she worked for Missouri Outreach and assisted in the office duties and breakfast and lunch at Eldon Elementary School which gave her such joy seeing the youngsters daily. 

Visitation will be will be Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Simon Kanyike officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO. 

Memorials in her name are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon, MO.
