Pauline Bond Currence, 83, passed away on February 22, 2021 at Eldon Nursing and Rehab in Eldon, Missouri.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 26, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Eldon.  Visitation will be held immediately preceding the service from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Eldon First Baptist Church.  Burial will follow the funeral service at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett.

Pauline was born as a triplet at Oby & Nora Bond’s home near Mt Herman, outside Olean, MO on March 15, 1937.  One of the triplets (Ladine) did not survive infancy, so Pauline grew up alongside her twin sister, Lorene Bond Farris.  Pauline attended school in Olean and graduated from Eldon High School in 1955.  She was married to Dale Currence on June 5, 1955; they were married for over 62 years.

Pauline was a faithful wife, mother, and homemaker her entire adult life.  For over 30 years she co-owned, along with Dale, Tri-County Tractor Sales on Highway 54 South in Eldon and served as book keeper during those years.  She cherished her family, friends from the community and church, and connecting with fellow classmates.  Pauline enjoyed cups of coffee in the morning (outside when possible), journaling, knitting, making quilts for her grandkids, and eating meals out with Dale. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Eldon, serving in numerous volunteer positions.

Pauline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale, on January 27, 2018.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Oby and Nora Selix Bond, as well as her older brother, Marvin Bond, and her sisters: Helen Wright, Eula Mae Bedwell, Nancy Bond, and Ladine Bond.

Pauline is survived by her sister Lorene Bond Farris of Eldon and by her five children: Melody (Kent) Hannah of Eldon; Mary Jane (Tom) Correnti of St. Louis; Steve (Karie) Currence of Webb City, Paula (Jim) Misloski of Jefferson City; and Dan (Sherry) Currence of Eldon.  She was also proud of and is survived by 14 grandchildren: Kory (Amie) Hannah; Ethan (Courtney) Hannah; Brian (Joanna) Correnti, Leanne (Matt) Correnti Gregston; Kasey, Cragin, & Sally Currence; Perry, Ellen, & Davis Misloski; Aaron (Abby) Currence, Samuel, Joel, & Lily Currence; 4 step-grandchildren (Tracy Correnti Hipner, Tom Correnti, and Cade & Sidney Englert); and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greenmore Memorial Gardens in c/o Judy Beach (Treasurer) 2 Mt Carmel Rd, Eldon, MO  65026.  The family of Pauline Currence wishes to thank the Eldon Nursing & Rehab for their care for Pauline, particularly over the past 12 months working through COVID protocols.
