Patricia McDow Obituary
Patricia Ann McDow, 75, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
Pat was born April 2, 1939 in California, Mo, the daughter of Virgil C. Remley and Olga T. Ziehmer. Pat graduated in 1957 from High School in California, MO. She worked in retail at Hills Hardware in California, Mo and Woolworths in Jefferson City, Mo.
She was married on June 25, 1983 in Herman, Mo to Robert McDow who preceded her in death on June 9, 2001. Pat enjoyed being a housewife, the St. Louis Cardinals, visiting with friends and collecting crystal and porcelain figurines. A self-professed cowgirl, she and her husband loved western memorabilia. Pat was a fun loving, cheerful lady with a wonderful sense of humor and an abiding devotion to her beloved pets and friends.
Survivors include: 1 daughter, Rita Carey Gerhardt and husband Nick of Jefferson City, Mo: 1 son, Clarence Hohman, Jr. and his wife Betty of Holts Summit, Mo: 1 sister, Erma Dean Black of Oklahoma: 2 brothers, Ben Remley and his wife Martha of Oklahoma, and Ron Remley and friend Marilyn of Jefferson City, Mo: 1 granddaughter , Rachelle Glavin: 3 grandsons, Zach Carey, Chris Hohman, Justin Hohman: and 4 great grandchildren, Ryan Glavin, Nolan Galvin, Blake Hohman, and Brynlee Carey. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Ronnie Hohman: 1 grandson, Benjamin Carey: 1 great granddaughter, Hailey Glavin: and 1 brother, Robert Remley. She is also survived by her beloved dog Missy Jo.
Pat particularly loved Christmas, and it seems only fitting as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ, that we celebrate her life as the lord takes her home. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, California Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 till service time. Burial will be in the California City Cemetery.
