Pamela Erwin, 69, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away Friday, March 13, 2026 at SSM St. Mary’s Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born October 12, 1956 in Tuscumbia, Missouri the daughter of the late Leroy and Omega Faye (Patterson) Vaughan. In October of 2002 in Warrenton, Missouri she was united in marriage to Michael Lee Erwin who preceded her in death on November 17, 2002.

Daughter, Carondy Abbett (Justin) of Columbia, MO
Sons, Joseph Abbett, Sr. (Courtney) of Middletown, IN; Levi Abbett (Laura) of Ocala, FL; Derek Abbett (Beth) of St. Joseph, MO
Eighteen Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren
Four Sisters, Becky Leonard (Pat) of Centertown, MO; Tamara Drozd (Joe) of Vienna, VA; Sandra Andrews of Eldon, MO; Sheila Curtman (Joe) of Iberia, MO
Numerous Nieces and Nephews
Along with her parents and her husband, the father of her children, James Abbett preceded her in death.
Pamela graduated from Tuscumbia High School in 1974. As a child she loved riding horses and spent time showing them with her sister, dad, and grandpa in many competitions. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. Pamela loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Per her wishes, her body has been donated to science as an anatomical gift for future medical research.
Memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
