Oma Lois (Russell) McDonald, 88, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer on May 26, 2021.
Visitation will be held at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon, MO on June 5th, 2021 from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.
Oma was born in Eldon to Harley Bertram and Marble Mae Russell on January 23, 1933. She went to high school at Eldon High School and graduated in 1951. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of others with a true servant’s heart.
Oma is preceded in death by her parents; one sister Virginia Nunn of Bloomfield, CT and one brother John B. Russell of Springfield.
Oma is survived by her husband Chuck; three daughters Susann (Bill) Perkin, Stacey (Jack) Thurman, Heather Powers; one son Doug; one sister Martha Howard of Huntsville AL.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Neighbors in care of First Baptist Church of Eldon (209 S. Aurora St., Eldon, MO 65026/Please note: FBC/Good Neighbors on your donation).
