Norma Alley Obituary

After 60 years together, I lost the most beautiful mother of our children.  Norma “DeAnn” Alley, 82 of Rocky Mount, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.  She was born August 24, 1941 in Olean, Missouri the daughter of the late Norman and Jessie (Serl) Haynes.  On August 18, 1963 in Olean, Missouri she was united in marriage to Ray Alley who survives.

Other survivors include,

Children, Alyciac Alley-Jennings (Todd) of Kansas City, MO; Anitra Haney (David) of Ashland, MO; Benjamin Alley (Anna) of Irvine, CA

Six Grandchildren, Elise, Dayton, Alley, Asher, Xander & Bella

Norma was a member of the Concord Baptist Church of Jefferson City, MO.  She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone as a telephone operator for fifteen years, the Missouri Baptist Convention Press for ten years, and the State of Missouri for the Secretary of State’s office in the Securities Division for thirty years until her retirement.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at the lake.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Concord Baptist Church of Jefferson City, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM with Brother Monte Shinkle officiating.  Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery in Olean, MO.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in her name are suggested to Concord Baptist Church or Allen Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
