Nina Gay (Herron) Platz, 75 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at her residence in Eldon, Missouri.  She was born November 8, 1947 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia the daughter of the late William M. and Maude (Bostic) Herron.  On November 25, 1991 in Eldon, MO she was united in marriage to Gary L. Platz who preceded her in death on June 1, 2001.

Survivors include,

Sons, Dwayne Blake (Sheila) of Fortuna, MO; Billy Jeffries (Kelli) of Jefferson City, MO; Randy Hendrix (Jessica) of Eldon, MO

Daughter, Candie Hill (Gary) of Holts Summit, MO

Step-son, Jeffery Platz; Step-daughter, Kathia LaShell (Mark)

Sister, Loretta Pierce

Brother, Joe Herron

Several Grandchildren & one Great-Grandchild

Three brothers, Ronal, Donal & Norman, and in-laws, Joyce & Russell Platz preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM with Mark Baucom officiating.   Burial will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.

Memorials in her name are suggested to Greenmore Memorial Gardens.
