Michael Grant Diefenbach passed away on April 15, 2026. He spent his final moments doing what he loved most, finding peace at the water’s edge.
Born in Washington and raised in Tuscumbia, Missouri, Michael was a graduate of Tuscumbia High School and a dedicated member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562. He took great pride in his trade, but even more pride in the personal growth and resilience he demonstrated over the last year of his life. Those closest to him will remember this journey with immense pride; Michael was a true testament to the strength of the human spirit.
An accomplished fisherman and a hard worker, Michael’s heart ultimately belonged to his family. He took his role as an uncle with the utmost pride, bringing a unique and seemingly endless sense of joy to his nieces and nephews. Whether it was a tickle fight, painting his toenails, playing catch, or sharing a laugh, he was happiest when surrounded by them.
Michael’s love and generosity were endless for those lucky enough to be a part of his life. Even at the end, Michael was able to bring life and relief to many as a selfless donor.
Michael is survived by his parents, Michael Diefenbach, Sandy Diefenbach, and Elizabeth Diefenbach; his brothers, Jon Worley and Joseph Diefenbach; and his sisters, Kristen Runyan and Olivia Fuentes. His legacy of love continues through his nephew, Asher Andrews, and his nieces, Montery Lopez, June Runyan, and Daisy Runyan.
