Maxine Ellen (Bay) Davis

Maxine Ellen (Bay) Davis, 88, of Boonville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Riverdell Care Center in Boonville, Missouri.  She was born February 13, 1936 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Cecil and Juanita (Porter) Bay.  In 1955 in Independence, Missouri she was united in marriage to James Harry Davis who preceded her in death on June 21, 2023.

Survivors include,

Children, Terry Davis (Paula) of Columbia, MO; Tony Davis of Prairie Home, MO; Shelley Hazlett (Kevin) of Bunceton, MO; Dale Davis (Tina) of Boonville, MO; Rhonda Davis of Boonville, MO

Fifteen Grandchildren, Thirty-three Great-Grandchildren & One Great-Great Grandchild

Four Siblings, Don Bay, Romana Henderson, Lonnie Bay & Sue Acers

Along with her parents and husband, a sister, Loretta Rainwater preceded her in death.

Maxine was a member of the R.L.D.S. church in Columbia, MO.  She was an avid reader and loved to crochet.  She was a mother of five and dearly loved sharing time with all of her family.

Memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 

Visitation will be Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tim Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at the California City Cemetery in California, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
