Maurice "Morris" Roth

Maurice “Morris” Roth, 89 of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at National Healthcare Nursing Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.  He was born August 17, 1933 in Pontiac, Illinois the son of the late Rev. Lloyd E. and Edna (Millikan) Roth.  On June 26, 1954 he was united in marriage to Donna (Coulter) Roth who preceded him in death on July 15, 1987.  He then wed Audrey Mavis (Bridgeford) Roth on October 23, 1989 who preceded him in death on March 18, 2017.

Survivors include,

Children, Sheryl King (Roger) of Olean, MO; Larry Roth of Ossian, IN; Steve Roth of Las Vegas, NV; Scott Roth (Jill) of Monroe, IN; Allen Roth of Waynedale, IN.  Becky Purvis (Jack) of Laveen, AZ

Fourteen Grandchildren and Nineteen Great-Grandchildren

Sister, Carol Jean Scott (Carroll) of Bluffton, IN

A grandson, Michael Jason Walburn preceded him in death.  

Morris served in the United States Army.  He was employed as a salesman for McJohn in Ft. Wayne, IN and also was an over the road truck driver.  He was an avid photographer.  He loved motorcycles, cars, mostly Mustangs along with classic cars and boats.  He loved to travel and accomplished visiting 48 states.  Morris loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them all.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 6:30 PM at Eldon Church of the Nazarene 1024 E. Lawson St. Eldon, MO with Rev Jerry Frye officiating. Also, a Celebration of Life will be held on September 2, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Ossian 1001 Dehner Drive Ossian, IN at 1:00 PM with Matthew Gullion officiating with the Visitation beginning at 12:00 PM – 1:00PM. 

Memorials in his name are suggested to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation on behalf of his grandson and great-grandchildren.
