Marvin D. Alderman, 86, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 at Jefferson City Manor in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born November 7, 1939 near Enon, Missouri the son of the late Harold J. and Fern L. (Asplin) Alderman.
Survivors include,
Nieces, Gayle M. Leiber and Christina D. Gerwin
Nephew, Stewart Huffaker
Great Nephew, Frank Leiber (Stephanie)
Great-Great Nephew, Grayson Leiber
Special Friends, Darleen Groner and Mary Jane Quinn
He graduated from Eldon High School in 1957 and then from Lincoln University. Marvin served in the United States Army from 1967-1969. In 1970 he started work with the state of Missouri in the Missouri Department of Health and then moved to the Missouri Department of Social Services where he retired on March 31, 2000 after 30 years.
Along with his parents, a sister, Judy C. Thorson, brother, Glenn G. Alderman, and great nephew, Christopher Leiber preceded him in death.
Per his wishes, his body has been cremated.
Memorials in his name are suggested to Cornerstone Baptist Church 4930 Old Lohman Rd. Jefferson City, MO 65109.
