Larry Joe Baysinger, 75, of the High Point, Missouri area, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Tipton Oak Manor in Tipton, Missouri. He was born April 17, 1949 and raised in Olean, Missouri, the son of John Harold Baysinger and Ruby Louise (Smith) Baysinger.
Survivors include,
Daughter, Teresa L. Baysinger and son-in-law David D. Sauer of Russellville, MO
Granddaughter, Brittney N. Sauer of Jefferson City, MO
Former Spouse, Judith A (Woehrer) Baysinger of Jefferson City, MO
He was preceded in death by his parents, and aunt Lucy (Baysinger) Perkins.
Larry attended Olean grade school and later graduated from Eldon High School. In May of 1973, he married Judith A. Woehrer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lohman, MO. They lived on their 75 acre farm in the High Point area until 2021. Larry was a farmer and Horseman. He showed Missouri Fox Trotting performance horses. He won several model classes both at local shows. He also won a World Grand Champion Model class at the Missouri Fox Trotter Horse Breed Association (MFTHBA) in Ava, MO. He was a long-time member of MFTHBA as well as serving as a judge in model classes later in life.
He enjoyed working and spending time on his farm. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends, sharing stories, attending horse shows and farm shows.
Graveside Services for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Olean Cemetery in Olean, MO with Brother Bob Hoskins officiating.
