Kimberly Jean (Howser) Farris, 55, of Eldon went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the University of Missouri

Hospital in Columbia.  She was born October 24, 1967 in Versailles, Missouri, daughter of Charley Loucian and Lois

Jean (Scott) Howser of Barnett, MO. On May 2, 1987 she was united in marriage to her best

friend, Clyde C. “Sonny” Farris in Eldon.

Kim is survived by her parents, her husband, and their three children and their families: Ryan,

Caitlyn, Adalyn, and Jackson Vernon of Eldon, MO, Mason, Katie, Goldie, and baby boy Farris of

Springfield, MO, and Devin and Bailey Elliott of Rogersville, MO.  Other survivors include her brother and his wife, Kevin and Deb Howser; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Shane and Sherri Farris, Joel Farris, Tom and Sherril Couts, and Jeffrey Farris; and

several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her infant sister, Charlotte Jean Howser, her grandparents, Melvin and Hazel Scott and Basil and Lola Howser. She is also preceded by her mother- and father-in- law, Mary Catherine and Clyde C. Farris, Jr., her sister-in-law, Kimberly (Kirk) Farris, and her nephew, Evan Wainwright.

Kim was a 1986 graduate of Eldon High School. After high school she worked for Drs. Mason and Haggerty in Lake Ozark, who encouraged her to further her career in healthcare. She received her LPN from Tri-County Technical School in Eldon in 1996, top of her class. She then received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Regents College and became a registered nurse in 1999. She provided patient care as an RN for 4 years at Capital Region Medical Center and 21 years at Lake Regional Health System. In 2020, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Graceland University and became a Family Nurse Practitioner, working in the Pulmonology Department at Lake Regional. Kim loved learning and continually strived to expand her knowledge to provide the best patient care possible.  In addition to serving people through her career in healthcare, she was a devoted member of Ninth Street Christian Church for over 20 years where she served her church family and community through her faith and love in Jesus Christ.  Kim also served in several different organizations throughout her community including presiding as President of the Miller County Board for Services for the Developmentally Disabled and board member of the Miller County Ambulance Board.

Kim cherished her family like nothing else. Her greatest accomplishments were being an incredible wife to her husband, amazing mother to her three children, and Nana to her four grandchildren. Whether she was driving across the state to sporting events, planning family vacations and later planning weddings, or showering her grandbabies with love, Kim was always their greatest supporter, and cornerstone of her family.
