Kathryn Abbott Obituary

Kathryn Stella (Setser) Abbott, 90, of Tuscumbia, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Tuscumbia, Missouri.  She was born May 16, 1930 in Miller County, Missouri the daughter of the late Johnny Almond and Kathryn “Ruth” (Burd) Setser.  On May 29, 1949 she was united in marriage to Walter Gail Abbott who preceded her in death on June 16, 2008.

 

Survivors include,

 

Son, William “Bill” M. Abbott & wife Linda of Tuscumbia, MO

 

Four Grandchildren, Gayle Trachsel & husband Matt of Jefferson City, MO; Gwen Kesel of Tuscumbia, MO; Wm. Chad Abbott & wife Colleen of Tuscumbia, MO; Courtney Berry & husband Bricker of Buffalo, MO

 

Sixteen Great Grandchildren, Sydney, Kenadi, Gage, Madilyn, Sophia, Isabella &  Khloe Trachsel; Matthew, Mackenze, Riley &  Nolan Kesel; Wm. Isaiah, Wyatt, & Judd Abbott; Daxton & Newton Berry

 

One Great Great Grandson, Rhett Davis.

 

Sister-in-law, Billie Setser of Springfield, MO

 

A brother, Jerry Setser preceded her in death.

 

Kathryn graduated from Tuscumbia High School in 1949.  She was employed with the Miller County Courthouse, the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, the Bank of Tuscumbia and the Fort Leonard Wood Civil Service Office.   She was a member of the Mt. Zion Christian Church of Tuscumbia, MO.

 

Visitation will be Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Christian Church with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM with Charles Worstell officiating.  Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

 

Memorials in her name are suggested to the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund.

 

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
