Karen Edith (McPherson) Sanders

Karen Edith Sanders, 63, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach, Missouri.  She was born July 29, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Lewis B. and Lucille Irene (Reider) McPherson.  On September 9, 2012 in Sunrise Beach, Missouri, she was united in marriage to William A. Sanders who preceded her in death on January 19, 2013.

Survivors include,

Sisters, Barbara Bartmann (Michael) of Overland Park, KS; Patricia Denny (Gary) of Lee’s Summit, MO.

Several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law.

Along with her parents and husband, her brother, Michael B. McPherson (his wife Donna who survives), and Good Friend, Rodney “Buzzard” Grammer preceded her in death.

Karen was employed as a florist with Above and Beyond Floral of Eldon, MO and loved delivering flowers and making people smile.  She was also a Tour Guide with Stark Caverns over the past 30+ years.  She was extremely passionate about the cave and its history, and loved sharing her knowledge with others, especially the school children.  Karen was funny, passionate, loving, giving, annoying, smart, a know-it-all, opinionated, and true to herself.  She will be missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM -2:15 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:15 PM.  Interment will be at Tol-Wood Cemetery immediately following her services.
