Karen Porter Obituary

Karen Rae (Stogsdill) Porter, 76, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.  She was born August 10, 1948 in Vienna, Missouri the daughter of the late Sameul H. and Imogene (Martin) Stogsdill.  On November 6, 1965 in Tuscumbia, Missouri she was united in marriage to Billy G. Porter who survives of the home.

Grandchildren, Heidi Brake (Paul); Christopher McDaniel (Samantha); Terry McDaniel (Stephanie); Carol Ann Cotten; Anna McGinnis (David); Mikala Porter (Jered); Aaron Porter (Maddy) and Steven Porter

Great-Grandchildren, Maddison, Alexis, Jenna, Steven, Hailey, Brayleigh, Kennedi, Ethan, Waylon, Kelsey, Everett and Ryker

Many nieces & nephews

Siblings, Jim Stogsdill and Tommy Stogsdill

Along with her parents, a son, Billy G. Porter, and four brothers, Larry Stogsdill, Sammy Stogsdill, Kenneth Stogsdill and Douglas Stogsdill preceded her in death.

Karen loved playing bingo at the Rocky Mount Lions Club every Thursday night.  She enjoyed putting puzzles together and going shopping, but her greatest love was spending time with her family and making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with Pastor Kent Hutcherson officiating. 

Memorials in her name are suggested to the University of Missouri Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
