Karen Sue (Clare) Johnson

Karen Sue (Clare) Johnson, 68, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 at her residence in Eldon, Missouri.  She was born November 24, 1956 in Baytown, Texas the daughter of the late Otto Harry and Genevieve (Stephens) Clare.  On November 30, 2002 in Clarksville, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Dennis L. Johnson who preceded her in death on January 27, 2003.

Survivors include,

Daughter, Amy M. Evans (Johnny) of Eldon, MO

Six Grandchildren

Siblings, Ellen Faulkner of Paris, AR; Evelyn Bowden of Sherwood, AR; Steve Clare (Becky) of Driggs, AR

Sister-in-law, Barbara Clare of Magazine, AR

Along with her first husband, Charles Hopkins, a son, Alan Hopkins, and two brothers, Edward Clare and James Clare and his wife Ramona preceded her in death.

Karen was a member of the Baptist Faith.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas with Pastor Henry Jenkins officiating.  

Memorials in her name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
