John C. Sellers, 82, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born March 14, 1942 in Hannibal, Missouri the son of the late Charles Ruebin and Burdene Orvele (Cheek) Sellers. On May 9, 1964 in Overland, Missouri he was united in marriage to Phyllis (Miller) Sellers who survives of the home.

Grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth Schwalenberg (Ben); Blaine Smallwood; Omri Case Eads
Great-Grandchildren, Emily, Ellie, and Eve Schwalenberg
Cousin, Patty Mueller (Bill)
Along with his parents, three sisters, Dona Williams, Virginia Sellers and Debby Thompson preceded him in death.
John proudly served in the United States Army from 1964-1970 with the 142 Signal Battalion Division and the 2nd Armor Division. he was employed with the Dept. of Corrections for thirty-three and a half years until his retirement. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Hero’s Outreach Program. He enjoyed John Wayne movies, gardening, trains and railroads. His greatest love was his family and grandbabies and great-grandbabies.
A Celebration of Life is being planned at a later date at the First Christian Church of Eldon, MO.
Memorials in his name are suggested to the Hero’s Outreach Program.
