Jim Helton, 85, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Miller County Care and Rehab in Tuscumbia, Missouri. He was born September 13, 1935 in Iberia, Missouri the son of the late Bill and Clara (Beal) Helton. On December 23, 1956 in Tuscumbia, Missouri he was united in marriage to Betty (Flaugher) Helton who survives of the home.

Grandchildren, Levi Chapman (Abbi) of Olean, MO; Skyler Chambers of Eldon, MO; Mark Chambers of St. Joseph, MO; Dalton Burnham (Brittany) of St. Joseph, MO; Damien Khoo of Guam; Ashley Brooks (Frank) of Korea; Jasmin Khoo of Chicago, IL
Ten Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Grandchild and two very special children in his life.
His daughter and son in law, Gina and Ken Chapman, a sister, Verla Ray and three infant siblings preceded him in death.
In Jim’s teen years he competed in several rodeos and won several championships. He was employed as a truck driver for twenty-five years until his retirement. He then worked at Country Club Lanes in Eldon, MO. Jim was a very loving person, saying, “Hey Hey I love you” to all he met.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Etterville Christian Church with Bob Jones officiating.
Memorials in his name are suggested to the Etterville Christian Church.
