Janet Elaine (Hartzell) Meye

Janet Elaine Meye, 66, of Brumley, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Cox South Health Center in Springfield, Missouri.  She was born July 10, 1959 in Price, Utah the daughter of the late John and Twila (Hayes) Hartzell.  On June 27, 1988 in Price, Utah she was united in marriage to David E. Meye who survives of the home.

Other survivors include,

Daughters, Gerri Flint (Leo) of Springfield, MO; Mellissa O’Brien of VA

Grandson, William O’Brien of Salem, MO

Brother, John Hartzell of North Gate May, NJ

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings.

Janet was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Northside Amateur Radio Club of Eldon, MO.  She loved embroidering and crocheting and won many awards and contests.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated and inurnment will be held at the VA cemetery in St. Roberts, MO at a later date.

Memorials in her name are suggested In Care of the Family. 

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1168 KK Hwy in Osage Beach, MO with the Visitation until 4 PM.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
