Janeen Scroggins, of Auxvasse, MO, died at 6:18 A.M. Saturday, May 25, 2025, at her home. She was born October 29, 1941, in Burlington, IA, the daughter of James and Helen (Enke) Thye. She was raised and educated in Burlington. On June 6, 1981, in Rock Island, IL, she was united in marriage to the late Arthur Scroggins.
Janeen was known for her spunk and her giving heart. She loved all aspects of being a housewife. She loved to cook, clean, and most of all, decorate. In her younger years, one can imagine the antics she shared with her siblings, especially her twin, Janice. Later, she enjoyed many adventures with Art, the love of her life.
She is survived by two brothers, James (Pebs) Miller of Enid, OK and Jeffrey (Tan) Miller of Charleston, SC; children Kevin Barnett and Pam Ingalls; stepchildren Allen Scroggins (Angie) of Colorado; Betty Scroggins of Eldon, MO; Darlene Ringwold (Wayne) of California, MO; Georgeanna Erdahl (John) of Wahoo, Nebraska; Arthur Scroggins of Eldon, MO; Wantha Nelson (David) of Auxvasse, MO; many grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and stepfather James Miller; siblings Janice Reddington, Jerald Thye, Jackie Eckey, and John (Randy) Miller; sons James Barnett and David Noel.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Celebration of Life beginning at 1:00 PM with Arthur Scroggins and Edward “Allen” Scroggins officiating. Private Family Interment will be held in Illinois at a later date.
Janeen’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
