James Belshe Obituary

James P. Belshe, 96, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.  He was born September 27, 1923 in Henley, Missouri the son of the late John and Hazel (Topping) Belshe.  On February 13, 1984 in Eldon, Missouri he was united in marriage to Faye (Mueller) Roth Belshe who survives of the home.

Other survivors include,

Children, Durinda “Rindy” O’Brien (Frank) of Washington, DC; Jack Belshe of Columbus, GA; Curt Belshe (Lisa Prown) of Peeksville, NY

Five Grandchildren & Nine Great Grandchildren

Step Children, Arthur Roth (Cathy) of Eldon, MO; Fran Purnell of Lebanon, MO

Two Step Grandchildren & Two Step Great Grandchildren

Sister in law, Shirley Belshe of St. Louis, MO

Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

James served in the United States Army receiving a silver star and a purple heart.  He was one of the first instructors for the driver’s education class in Raytown, MO.

Per his wishes his body has been cremated and private family interment will be held at Spring Garden Cemetery in Eugene, MO and a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Memorials in his name are suggested to St. Joseph Indian School or the Disabled American Veterans.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
