Ivery Laney

Ivery Laney, 82, of Barnett, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at SSM St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.  He was born May 3, 1936 in St. Charles, Virginia, the son of the late Ivery Elvin Laney, Sr. and Nora Ethel (Collins) Dexter.  On August 10, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas he was united in marriage to Mary (Lawson) Laney who survives of the home.

Sons, Robert Laney (Eileen) of Rohnert Park, CA; Steven Laney (Charlene) of Coloma, WI; Larry Laney (Stacie) of Shawnee, KS; David Laney (Stephanie) of Mokane, MO; Jerry Laney of Shawnee, KS

Eleven Grandchildren & Thirteen Great Grandchildren

Three Sisters, Freda Miles; Jane Hawk & Dollie Norwood

One Half Brother

Ivery attended Old Time Gospel Church of Eldon, MO.  He was a proud Union member of Local 1290.  He served in the National Guard for two years.  Ivery was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed collecting toy trains.

Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.  Graveside Services will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, KS at 2:00 PM.

Memorials in his name are suggested to Old Time Gospel Church of Eldon, MO.
