Irma (Schick) Burris

Irma (Schick) Burris, 99, formerly of Eldon, Missouri passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at Brookwood Retirement Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was born July 23, 1920 in Eldon, Missouri the daughter of the late Joseph A. Schick, Sr. and Ella Pearl (Thompson) Schick.  On May 7, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri she was united in marriage to Bertram Lee Burris who preceded her in death on January 18, 2006.

Survivors include,

Daughter, Ella Dee Cohen (Sidney) of Cincinnati, OH

Grandchildren, Paul Kidwell (Emily) of Oakland, CA; Laura Siderman (Sergio) of Agoura Hills, CA

Great Granddaughter, Siena Siderman of Agoura Hills, CA

A brother, Joseph A. Schick, Jr. preceded her in death.

Irma was a member of the First Christian Church of Eldon, MO where she was a member of the ladies quilting club.  Her love was her family and her church.  Irma loved spending time with her family doing jigsaw puzzles and could play a mean game of Canasta.  Irma retired after 22 years with Southwestern Bell when they moved the Eldon office.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Shirley Williams officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.

Memorials in her name are suggested to the First Christian Church Foundation of Eldon, MO.
